so today we're supposed to be all packed for Colorado, the reason being that we can check stuff tomorrow. Cuz I'm looking forward to unpacking and repacking stuff so they can look at it. Oh well, if I'm good maybe I can bring a book. I dare not hope for my gameboy

Don't get yourself in trouble with your mom because she insulted me. Give her the card to proof and leave it at that. She never has to know that we didn't give a crap about what she wanted to change. Pretend like you've told me if she has any changes she wants.

And don't freak out about your little sister too much - Rob does that, too. Younger sisters/brothers don't listen to their older siblings. She's been a little too well trained by your parents, yes, but hopefully soon she'll start developing more of an independent thought process and she'll start to make decisions herself.

I know about the card and all, I loved your maniacle idea you had today. And even if I did get in trouble it would be more funny than anything else, she just wouldn't trust you adn I don't think you really care.

But I wont just accept this thing with Devin. I'll keep trying to keep her from the brat track. I won't have another brat sister, and I can actually help her this time around. I mean, I'm her big sister, I have to be able to do something to help her, even if she doesn't like it. That's my un-official job in her life. I still want to be the one she can talk to and all, and I sit down and talk to her about stuff and we just look at it and come to a simple conclusion but I hope that those thoughts will be something that she'll repeat on her own. And all these hopes may be to advanced but it's never too early to start. She's 7 she can think logically, if selfishly. I'll be like her body guard and concelor if it kills me cuz that's what I do.
