They are a real necessity here, so I guess they don't need to be fashionable; but it would be nice. those are really cute, but with all the slush we get up here, they would start to look ratty after only a week.
i'm on a quest for boots too, but i'm looking for practical instead of fashionable (i've given up on trying to look fabulous in nova scotian winters - it's impossible without getting cold and wet). i tried on a pair of columbia bugaboos the other day, and they were super comfy, and their clunkiness was actually kind of cute. but they just weren't suitable for walking, and i walk everywhere, so they weren't suitable for me either. oh well.
