I know! I know! They didn't have a photographer there. UGH! And it wasn't the type of party you could take a camera to. I'm going to have to dress up and have someone take my picture here soon.
The dress turned out so great! Its truly a work of art, girl! You done good! Isn't it satisfying to make something yourself? I love the addition of the feathers around the bust. I only hope it doesn't make you look like you have hairy (or should I say "feathery") pits when its on! Snicker.... I can't wait to see a picture of you actually wearing it!
LMAO!!! Sandy....you are a nut! I never thought about the hairy pits! LOL
Well, the good thing is that I can take that part off with just the snip of a couple of threads. The funny thing is that the feather part doesn't look as good in the photos as it did in person. It really is softer when you see it sans the camera lens. I swear, it's the lighting. LOL
But yes, it is SOOOOO great to make something. I'm so proud, if you can't tell already. I'm really trying to think about what I want to do next. I have some really amazing tweed that I'm going to use to make a Chanel-type jacket. I have a great writeup on the secrets of that cult item.
I am SO IMPRESSED! That dress is GORRRRRRgeous. Srsly. I LOVE the feathers, and the zipper and belt. All together it turned into a very dangerous dress, and by that I mean sexy. ;) Cheers!
Thanks for asking! Things are going great; all the blood work and ultrasounds look wonderful so far. Junior is kicking a lot and Mr Brat can feel him. Headaches are gone, thank goodness. I get reflux now and then, but nothing too bad yet. ;)
It's so wonderful when daddy can finally feel the baby move. I think it finally becomes "real" for them that "Hey, there's really someone IN there". It's fun to see how fascinated they are by the whole pregnancy thing, too. I know I felt very empowered by it all. I swear I was a little sad when I went into labor, knowing it was all about to end! LOL
And yes, I really want to start selling some of my things. I have a friend who's willing to be my rep...LOL I'm trying to come up with a couple of designs to offer. Stay tuned!!! :)
Thanks again for the sweet compliment. It really means a lot. ♥
