And unfortunately the worst might not be over yet...
So my wife reminded me that she had thought I was crazy for not wanting to buy a place to live on a hill and not a few streets below in the hundred-year floodplain area. After that area was under evacuation alert (and may still be) yesterday as flood waters invaded about twenty communities and shutdown all schools and the downtown core, she just wanted to let me know she got it now. We're out of harm's way, but there is plenty of damage in the city, and devastation across the south if the province. And while the sun is finally shining today, and the worst of it may be over, I'm not holding my breath...
