so i was browsing through the american_u group posts and you mentioned you had to pay $2K in order for AU to transfer credits in order for you to go abroad, and seeing that you've mentioned something about art history here in your livejournal, are you an art history major?

i'm an incoming sis freshman in the fall but i'm contemplating minoring/double majoring in either graphic design or art history

thanks!

The $2K was if I wanted to go to a non-AU study abroad program, one that had a lot more options in terms of classes etc. I ended up instead going abroad through AU, in really the only option they have for graphic design majors, to Florence, Italy. It's a great experience, and I'm liking it quite a bit, but the classes aren't that great.

I'm a graphic design major, art history minor. I think it's a good combo and they compliment each other well, and are easy to complete alongside each other. But when the time comes I would suggest going abroad for your Art History instead of graphic design. Most major universities abroad offer Art History classes so it won't be too hard. That's what I had originally intended to do, but through a few stupid decisions it didn't work out.

Anyway, that was rambley haha. Hope I helped!
