I looooove that picture, too! I can't believe you had to spend less time on it than on the Kame one. :o

I think Kame's nose could've been more with that bump, to be honest, but all in all I do think you did a good job at drawing his nose. And Jin's. Noses from the front are such a hazard to draw to me, so seeing how splendid you did it is awesome! You also completely captured Jin's smile as well as Kame's, and I am particularly fond of Jin's eyes. Very well done! His hair is also very lovely!

Thanks for checking out my work again! It really means a lot to me. :)

I'm not sure why this one was easier to draw than Kame's single portrait and why it took less time. I'm still a bit shocked about that too...

Once again, I struggled with Kame. I was working from a poor reference shot and even though I know that adorable bump is there, I couldn't really see it in the reference...so I sort of tried to blend it into the background. Guess I shouldn't have. Oops. Do you ever find Kame difficult to draw? I honestly prefer to draw noses from the front.

I have fun drawing Jin. Of course, I probably just jinxed my next attempt at drawing him by saying that, lol. However, it's true. Jin has such an easy face for me to draw and I love drawing him! I freaked when I thought about drawing his smile, but I really enjoyed it in the end. Jin's bleached fried hair, on the other hand, was an interesting challenge.

Meanwhile, I'd love to see what your art looks like.

I went to your deviantART to enlarge the drawing and I did see the bump, so it's not like I thought it wasn't there at all. Maybe my memory of the picture is just wrong and that's really all you see of the bump. You'd know better, since you drew this, right? ;)

I think I only attempted drawing Kame once or so. Since I write better than I draw, I don't draw much in general. Other than that I think I tried drawing Nakamaru and Ueda, after which I decided that even though it wasn't TOO bad, I'd rather not embarrass myself again. :P That's also why I'm always a bit unsure about commenting, though. I don't draw, I can't draw, and therefore I feel like I have no right to say some of the things I say. But I say them anyway, in hope that I won't come across as some rude bitch trying to tell you how to do things right.

Nope. Not a rude bitch. :) I highly doubt since I drew this I'd know better, lol. It's only logical to me, that the people who recognize his face would know whether it looks like Kame. Two-dimensional images can distort a subject leading to problems in the final work. That's why I value your comments. Highly value. Just because you claim that you, 'can't draw' doesn't mean you can't make an excellent critic. Especially since you know the subject so well. Well enough to be able to delve into his personality and create your own version (yet still keep his too). That's a form of art I could never even hope to attempt, but that doesn't stop me from commenting. I feel that the viewer of any form of art can make an enlightening comment. So don't try to talk yourself out of commenting on anything, k?

I bet Maru and Ueda would be quite difficult to draw. I, myself, haven't attempted them yet. Yet. ;)
