Lady Gaga! Beyond me, I'm afraid. I old fuddy duddy before my time. Doc Martins will always be in. They hurt my feet, so I cannot wear them, but I like them.

I'm a musical omnivore, with a weakness for noisy stuff. But it has to have a good tune too! Lady G is completely over the top, and I love that. Her costumes, the stage, the music, the lighting.... OTT. Was glad we were prepared with earplugs, though. And she can actually sing, did a couple of ballads, and I liked her voice. She messed up some notes, too, but just commented "Yeah, I fucked up, but I don't do lipsynch so.... that's what you get." Pretty cool.

I had a pair of platform shoes when I was in high school... they were less than useless in the snow!

My mother would never let me get platforms or wedges :-( Very sensible of her, and I wasn't terribly disappointed, to be honest.

Will have to keep an eye open for more events like this... I enjoyed both the concert and sharing the experience with my daughter.
