I am new to making backups, and I just tried to copy Man on Fire using shrink. Everything went fine during the copy, but during playback, the movie freezes every 5-6 seconds or so. I noticed that in the view screen during encoding it was also doing this (picture didn't flow well) I also copied Nightmare before Xmas using decrypter and that seems to work fine. I'm using Phillips DVD+R discs, a sony progressive scan DVD player and have 30 GB of free space on my hard drive. I tried to encode Snatch too and noticed it is very fragmented as well. I'm reluctant to use any more blank discs to copy until I get this figured out. Any ideas?

unsure of what files it drops but with the star trek series 1,2,3,4,5,7 come up fine but its just season 6 and it also happens with stargate and farscape.the compression is not changed from what DVD Shrink sets as default
