Also can I point out that ~ she seems to claim that he was left for ages (and nobody care) which is why the body was cold before anyone noticed

Theres diffent deffinitions of cold (I would class my hands as fecking freezing most days). I saw my Grandad less then an hour after he died, I touched his arm and you could tell he was cooling down.

Who's to say he didnt dies an hour after he was left along and they realised like 4 hrs later, Do you constantly check on people you have sleeping over when they're on the couch?
