So, every year, the yarn shops in Central Kansas get together for a weekend and have a yarn hop. My mom and I have gone together every year for the past four, and we have a great time. You got some really lovely yarn! That whole idea sounds really neat.

It's a blast, though not so nice on my wallet when it comes to gas money and spending money. The first year we went, I felt so guilty I purchased something in every shop. I came home with so much sock yarn, I think I still have some. I learned pretty quickly that I couldn't sustain that though, and I set aside just a little bit of cash so that I can keep an eye out for something I really like. I think I spent 3x more than I had planned this year, but I'd only planned on spending like $50 so it could have been much worse.
