M told me about how you love it out in HK and never want to come back, so I wanted to look at photos. What I found were your lovely photos of Croatia [the closest I've been is Serbia & Montenegro, but the best wine there was actually from Croatia].
So now I have a random question. Did you get FreshLook color contacts in 'blue'? I have sapphire ones from Acuvue but I wish they were a little greyer.

oh hi! the contacts i have are acuvue, but they are tri-tone. they're gray, but they also have bits of green and gold in them to make the eyes look more natural. i also have tri-tone blue, but they are a bit intense for my pseudo-asian face, and i have tri-tone violet, but they make me look like an alien on drugs.
there are loads of them, and all the recent ones are travel pictures from not hong kong, so it may take you a while to get to the actual city photos. enjoy!

hello :)
but they make me look like an alien on drugs
laugh. i had hazel colored contacts when I was 18, and i can relate. I looked like a straight-up werewolf since they had so much yellow in them.
thanks; i am going in to the eye doc's soon and thought i'd see if contact lens color technology had improved any in the past 9 years. my multi-colored sapphire ones back then were pretty cool -- if they had had good quality control back then. one of the lenses turned out kind of pasty-looking, while the other one was a great, deep dark blue. people got confused all the time and asked me if they were real (they must have been looking at the good eye).
I was only in HK for about 5 days; the rest of the month was spent in SE Asia. But that was in 2000 and goodness knows Vietnam, for example, is no longer the one I visited. And of course, it's different when you -live- there. thanks again!

I see the Acuvue-2s but not tri-tone (unless the 2s are in fact tri-tone?). There are Durasoft-3s.
Also, does the color ever get in the way of your vision? I've had that happen more often in one kind of contact over another.
