Why blog?

Try explaining that to your friends who don't blog at all. Why write your book about you? Why gaze at your navel in front of millions? Why act out your fantasies of being Anais Nin (for the girls) or Marcel Proust (for the boys)? Future of blogging? We're still original. No fooling. Percentage of Americans that blogs is below 10%. We will be remembered on that basis same way first kid who ever owned a Superball has some notoriety. And as if by accident some of our writing I expect is adequate, or no worse than the Boston Globe.

In the future there will be no blogging or emailing. People will talk to each other face-to-face and communicate long distance through a series of smoke signals and flying doves!
