Yes, they've only played three games, and yes, it's only spring training. Still. There are those who say that how a team does during the spring is a great indicator of how they will do during the regular season. Came pretty darn close to the playoffs last year!

7 hours ago I was updating from home in Chicago. Now I'm in LA starting the week-long process of competing in the next round of one of the highest rated shows on television. Oh my goodness, I'm so happy and so excited! I've been invited back (along with 11 others) for the Wild Card round next Tuesday (when 4 people will be put into the Top 12). I couldn't wait to get there and didn't want to waste anytime, so I booked a redeye to fly out tonight (an advantage to living in a huge city that has 2 huge airports!) ( Read more... )

I've been working with my voice coach almost every day, keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be called back for the wild card. Well... I have to be honest, I don't think Group 2 did as well as Group 1 did. Group 2 has some strong strong singers, but I don't think most of them did their best last night :( It will be interesting to see how the voting turns out. I was not one of the two voted into the Top 12. It was fantasia_b and diana_degarmo, both very talented and very good people, and yes, I'm happy for them.
