It's ok people, I didn't die

Hiya! Ok I've haven't written on here since like January. I even forgot how to make a new post :P A lot has happened since then, since it's been like eight months and all.

Well first and foremost, I have started to like The Beatles. I have never liked them and never really gave their music a chance. But when I got enrolled in Foods class at high school, I changed classes to History of Rock. Little did I know that this meant "History of The Beatles". I didn't want to bother my counselor again and there weren't many classes left to choose from anyway, so I stayed. I figured "Hey, this is an easy grade". Plus at this point in my life, I had already comes to terms of respecting The Beatles, since they did have a huge impact on music. But then something happened. The teacher made us listen to the music, watch videos, and learn about their lives. And I found myself actually ENJOYING this class. Never in one million years would I have imagined me liking The Beatles' music. But here I was, enthusiastic every day to go to my Beatles class and listen to their next record. It was quickly becoming my obsession. I found myself singing their songs, watching their videos on my spare time, and obsessing about my (then) love-hate for them to my friend. (I still held on to some hate then. It's not an easy transition from love to hate). But as time went on, I found the hate diminishing and having love for The Beatles and their music growing.

Annd I'll tell you more about the Beatles stuff in a minute because I have to mention one really important thing here:

I GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL

I am completely done with that prison they call a school. No longer shall I deal with all the popular idiots. No longer shall I bump into people I once knew and now rather not. No longer shall I have to get up early in the morning. No longer shall I being doing homework that devoured my life. No longer will I have to deal with friend battles. No longer shall I see the horrible thing that is my generation. I am free. I am free. I AM FREEEEEEEE.

As for the ceremony itself, it wasn't all that great. It was fast-paced and you got a half-second of glory while they quickly called your name and hussled you right back off the stage. I even got separated from my friend Leanne at that point (who was nice enough to sit with me even though she could have sat with her other friends, who were my past friends) and didn't get to celebrate the moment of actually being graduated. I did catch up with her after though to take some pics. I was glad my brother (well, actually half-brother) came down from Vegas to see me graduate. It was hard for him to get off of work, but I kept persisting :)

Now, to the graduation presents. I got an iPad. Woo-hoo. I got Alice in Wonderland teacup, teapot, and original drawing. I got gift cards, money, etc, etc. But I have yet to mention the best gift of all- tickets to a Paul McCartney concert in Denver!!!! Yes, Paul McCartney, the man who I wouldn't even know his name but 6 months earlier. I couldn't believe my dad got those for me. When I opened the gift, I was just in awe. I didn't know what to say. Just in those short six months, The Beatles have become special to me, and here I was going to see one of the Beatles himself in real life! I couldn't believe it. And I still don't believe to this day.

There is a lot to my stories at Denver & Paul McCartney concert, so I shall post those at a later date. So, onto the rest of my life:

Looking over some of my Facebook updates to remember my life...

Ah yes, I had an ongoing crush on this one man who is about sixteen years older than me (I don't go for any younger than 5 years older than me ;) ). He drove me crazy for awhile, but I'm pretty much over it now, so I don't have much to say about that. Unless more happens, which it probably will xD

I think I already mentioned my obsession with Syfy Alice on here.

I beat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 or whatever it was called. xD

Economics was the best class I had my whole high school life. I had it with my friend Leanne and everybody in that class was nice as well. And the teacher was awesome!

Oh funny story about that guy I had/have a crush on. We were at an Italian food restaurant and he couldn't finish his cake. So I ate the rest of his with HIS fork. We shared spit. Lolz, gross and yet attractive. Ahaha. He didn't notice and neither did my family. xD

OH YES. How could I forget? I got to see Pee Wee Herman at his show in LA. It was sooooooo awesome. The crowd was great too. I was smiling the entire time. I grew up with Pee Wee and I still love him so. There wasn't a bad seat in the house either, so I could see him pretty well too. The show was great. Once in a lifetime opportunity. It was so awesome to see him =)

Oh my sister opened her own salon back in December, but the official thing was in January.

I got my driver's license =) Even though the test person was the meanest bitch I ever met and made my cry. I thought I didn't pass because of all the terrible things she said to me, so I was really surprised when I found out I did pass.

Captain EO opened at Disneyland =) I've been waiting for that to re-open almost my whole life. I am soooooo glad it's back. I love Michael and I love the show. Plus, Honey I Shrunk the Audience was never that good...

Oh yes, found out Superfreak and Can't Touch this are basically the same song. Yes, I had to mention that xD

Found out The Beatles music wasn't on iTunes, so bugged my friend Chris to give all their music to me (which he is still in the process of doing, plus all of Paul's stuff.)

Saw Toy Story 3 with Leanne. Bawled my eyes out.

Saw Grown Ups and laughed my ass off.

Figured out June has 31 days xD

Went to Disneyland for the final day of Star Tours. I'm gonna miss that ride so much :(

Ok that's about it from my Facebook.

And the last important thing that has happened to me is that I became a vegetarian about a week or two weeks ago. I've been doing great so far. I've wanted to become a vegetarian for years now, and I finally got the guts to do it. I think it was Paul McCartney who finally pushed me over the edge. It's not like I was trying to be like him, but he just provided the last push I needed. Which by the way, you should check out Meat Free Monday website, read about it, and do it. Just don't eat meat once a week. Not that hard. That's how I started to become a vegetarian because of all the stuff I was reading on that website (which the program was started by the McCartneys) and participating in Meat Free Monday. Plus, like I said, I've always wanted to become one. I have grown up in more ways than one after high school and this is just one way I have. I actually think I owe must of it to The Beatles' music. Ridiculous? Eh, I don't think so. But I guess you can say that. I view it as shedding some light to the things I already knew I had to do, but just didn't.

If you have got this far in my post and actually care about reading about me, then thank you. (I might post this behind a cut, I don't know yet).

I just wanted all my LJ friends to know that I'll try to comment more often and actually write more often so you don't have to read as much. But I always say I'll write and then never do. But we'll see. Maybe a monthly thing? But I will try harder to comment your posts from this post on because I do care about you and I lurk on LJ anyways xD

Till we meet again,
Jennifer Lovett
