I sometimes wonder that myself. Usually when I start to wonder what happened to the people on my f-list who have disappeared without warning :(

This has actually happened to me. I hadn't heard from a good friend for a while and I went by her journal. Someone had posted on their that she had passed away. I was really sad. If you go to my profile, I think I still have the banner up for her. :(
