It's that time again. I'm almost done with Orphan Black and will need to go to a new series. List below shows you think I should check out. The show with the most votes, I'll marathon. :)
Dark Matter -- an excellent science fiction series that treats the amnesia trope incredibly well. Lovely diverse cast of characters (with an Asian woman as the designated leader of the group), all which get their own screentime, and all the scifi tropes that occur work beautifully with the context of the series itself. It just started its second season. Seriously, this is a beautiful and outstanding show, and good scifi that is rare these days, and it deserves more love.
Wynonna Earp -- badass chick with a demon-killing gun; amazing bond between sisters, women are awesome on this show, the show itself is incredibly witty, and LGBT representation. It just finished its first season and it is just so awesome.
Supergirl -- such an adorable show! Seriously, you'll love Kara Danvers and her adventures of becoming Supergirl. It also features a beautiful sisterly bond, amazing women characters, it is lighthearted but also balances the dramatic moments incredibly well. It has one season so far.
Jessica Jones -- Seriously, I cannot recommend

I'm new to your journal, so I'm not sure what all you've already seen, but here are some recs by genre (not including any shows I already "seconded" above):
-Supernatural Themed: Buffy; Angel; Sanctuary; Being Human -Space Themed: Firefly; Star Trek: Voyager; Stargate -Dystopian/Apocalytpic: The Walking Dead; The 100 -Anime: Fairy Tail; Soul Eater; D. Gray Man; Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood -Fantasy/Magic Themed: The Legend of the Seeker; The Shannara Chronicles; Merlin -Feel-Good: Young & Hungry; GIRL MEETS WORLD (okay, I'm bringing this one up again because it SHOCKS me that more people aren't watching it) -Superhero: Young Justice; The Flash; The Ultimate Spiderman; X-Men; Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -Crime Themed: Criminal Minds; Bones; NCIS
iZombie is my latest TV addiction, so I highly recommend it. Snarky characters, an interesting take on zombies, and a creative remix on the monster of the week theme.
Fringe is a terrific series. Its third season is unequaled for scifi TV. But you already have a tag for it, ditto The X-Files?
The Americans is unusual in that it has gotten better every single year--and even the first season is excellent. It finally got five Emmy nominations this year.
We're watching the first season of Brooklyn Nine Nine. It's cute and funny.
Elementary is fun and entertaining.
I love Madame Secretary. Political series.
I recently watched season one of The Expanse via Time Warner Cable's On Demand. Season two begins in January. It's set a few hundred years in the future. Mars is being terraformed and is a military power. There's a third group of humans who live in hollowed out asteroids and mine the asteroid belts for rare minerals. The cast is very diverse and it's unusual for a scifi show in getting the science right. (I love science.)
I'm watching Aquarius season two and Preacher season one in real time.
