As recently learned from my mom and the bacon cookies....

when you are making something with bacon, use the sugardale kind.  My trader joe's nitrite free, natural bacon was nice for the bacon cookies, but would have been a lot better with cheaper bacon.  Mom's keesh (shut up, I can't spell it) was loved by me and my coworkers.
