Iowa Flooding

I just found out that an old, historic bridge over the Cedar River has been destroyed by the floods, and the impact of the Iowa flooding finally hit me. A gorgeous and friendly bridge where boaters and bikers would spend summers enjoying the view, food, and company is now gone. I had visited it many times, but I had only taken food and drinks

Not to add sorrow to sorrow, but should you wish to share a link to a site that is doing a good job of documenting the scope of the disaster I would recommend Daily Kos. They're certainly providing far more extensive coverage than any of the mainstream media. You may wish to ignore the comments, however, unless you want your knickers twisted. Some folks see the current crisis as an excuse to wax political.
