I need a programmer who knows javascript to question re: the new dashboard interface we are using at work. someone please point one my direction. Thanks.

yes. There are several javascript links on each page. I need to know if it's possible (and not a nightmare) for the code to be written such that those links can be opened in a new tab/window. Currently they only open in the same window.

I have frienge knowledge when it comes to programming. I need to know this so I know whether I can ask the folks who code the dashboard for this 'enhancement' or not.

That is a piece of cake to do. Any javascript link can be told to open in a new window (document.open). As far as a tab goes, that is up to the individual browser settings, and cannot be controlled by javascript.

thing is, i don't want them to auto-open in a new window, but to have that ability should i decide i need a new window. still possible?
