Do you find the word "chick" when spoken to a woman, offensive? Do you use the word yourself? Is it derogatory or descriptive? Are there other such (mostly) non-inflammatory words that strike a personal chord? Discuss. Play nice.

I don't mind being called a chick, I've been the "Moon Chick" for many years.. Though in more recent years I've gotten the nickname Moon Baby and I rather like that too..

I don't even mind being called "Dude."

I do however find it affensive to be called a whore.. Though in the right setting I can be a dirty one, but that was always reserved for a special someone.

I used to find it greatly offensive to be called a slut, though I have faced my faults and I realize that it is not far from the mark so I embrace it now. *grins*

Bitch doesn't offend me unless I'm being called one without having the pleasure of being one. That irks the hell out of me.
