Why I'm slightly afraid to attend a UC this fall

Duh.

It's a stunning statistic. At UCLA, the incoming freshman class will be only two percent Black. That's right. Two percent African American. The decline is a result of Proposition 209 which eliminated race in the admissions process.

According to the LA times there are only 96 African American undergrad frosh out of a class of 4,852.

mmmm... reasons given sound like an excuse at the very best, or a flat out dodging of the bullet... Course seeing as I've visited at least one of the other UCs yeah... they do have a lot of incoming black students... so I guess they are just chucking them off elsewhere.

hmm... in all honesty I really don't have that much to say in reponse to the situation... It's not the least bit surprising at all really. And of course they're going to try and spin it in some happy little positive way to make people put some delightfully stupid content smile on their face.

how many of those african american students are brought in for athletics (yeah I said it). I bet that more than half are on athletic scholarships probably leaving less than 1% actually acceptted. Woooo and that's out of around 400,000 African Americans in LA alone! --- Go Cali! Go Cali!

I'm just glad I live in Arizona where half the population is walking around (legally) with concealed handguns.

One of the big problems that they're facing is that UCLA is, in fact, a racist institution. They released an article stating how they withheld applications from 15 minorities (mostly black) in favor of apps from White students with less impressive achievements.
Second. I know of someone else at my school who go into UCLA based solely on nepotism. He has a criminal record. He has more drugs in him than the Bronx. He should have to pay an asshole tax or at least a fee for breathing American air. Ask anyone of my friends from Marymount and they'll break into a long spiel about it.
I'm sorry but UCLA just sucks. (I'm sorry, but after hearing about those two things I lose so much respect for that school. I bet their only reason for allowing asians in is to train them to suck white cock).
