Barak Obama is truely an inspiring guy. A lot of my family doesn't agree with me doing this, but I'll be voting for this man.

Thats the thing....most of them are Democrats. They just don't support Obama.

I hate to label myself a Democrat, but in this years election, I think I just might have to.

Normally I just call myself a Liber-Democan-Republicrat.

LOL that works =D;;

I myself am hoping for equal rights for the GLBT community, so I have no choice but Obama. I feel like he'll be more open to changing his mind.. It's really too bad that Hilary didn't get the nomination, though!

Wait, what?

Besides Grandpa, I was never aware that any family members were actually registered to a political party.

For the record (I'm guessing you're not including me in your statement) I am a very proud INDEPENDENT. The way Dad talks, I think he is too but he's just never used the term. I have no loyalty to any political party, whatsoever. Not even the Libertarians. I am leaning towards voting for Obama because... the neocons, IMO, need to be gone, and it's time for a Democrat to be pres, not that I support the Dems, but just to swing the pendulum back somewhat.

Really, I'd like political parties to be done away with completely, so we can vote on the candidate (which I think most people do) but I think that would require a full implementation of a popular vote and campaigning would probably grow even more mass media annoying than it is now.
