A change

In my last post I said that I would be babysitting this fall...well, that has changed.  The other day John was at a GM dealership here in town and was visiting with the office manager (who goes to church with us) and she asked him if I would be interested in working part-time for them.  He told me about it and today I went out and visited with her ( Read more... )

I can totally relate to the heat thing! I am here in Macon, Georgia. We are pretty much on a swamp, and it is superrrrr hot! We have been indoors, too, and our pool is closing during the week. Ugggh! I have been forcing Anna to find things to do, but man it is annoying!

Congradulations on the job! I hope I never have to babysit again, either. It was okay for one summer. Most of my kids were family and older. I can't handle watching other people's babies and toddlers. They are so hard to handle if you don't know them well.

Hey, have you checked out IHOP (Prayer not Pancakes) in Kansas City? Here is the web stream: http://theprayerroom.god.tv/Group/Group.aspx?id=1000016937#

Me, and some family might be coming to Kansas City for New Year's Eve. Do you live far from there?

Hey, good to hear from you! Hey, where is Macon from Athens/Atlanta Georgia? We will be in Athens for a wedding in May (John is a groomsman for a really good friend of ours who is getting his doctorite at the University there). We plan on staying a week in the area...probably mostly in Atlanta.

Yes...IHOP in Kansas City I've heard is awesome! I've never been there myself but have several friends who have been. I hope to make it there...someday soon! KC is actaully about 7 to 8 hours from here. We are on the OTHER end of the state...only 30 miles from the CO/KS border. :)

Yeah...I completely understand about babysitting other people's kids. I did it for a long time in Iowa and said I'd never do it again. (I should never say never though). I guess I don't mind doing it like one day or so (temporarily), but on a regular basis, yeah...no. It is A LOT more work than what you get paid for. Ha, same as being a stay at home Mom, huh!?!? :)

LOL! Stay home Mom's are the most underappreciated positions on the planet by man! BUT, not by God, and the reward is eternal!!!

Ttoally check out IHOP on the webstream: http://theprayerroom.god.tv/Group/Group.aspx?ID=1000014765#

Way cool! My Mom & Dad live in Athens. It is two hours away. Let me know when. I will go stay with my parents when you are there! We should definetly get together. Let me know where you are staying I will check it out for you.
