well, yeah... plus, i was doing the whole, exporting lj entries into my facebook notes thing, and now my stepmom joined facebook (odd) so I want to hide certain things (sex details and the like) from her

You might want to set the date back to today for a while and give the people that are not mutual friends a chance to see this post. It will not show up on their friends pages unless you do that.

I saw it then it disappeared and I was a bit confused until I realized that you changed the date.

Or you could just make another post saying the same thing but with a current date.
