Just because you are good at something doesn't mean it is your life's calling. It took me a lot of years to finally learn that. I'm a good writer. I have always been a good writer. Sometimes I've had brushes with great writing, but we'll stick to calling me a good writer; not because I'm humble, but because I am well-read and know perfectly well

You know, the "who am I?" question has really been a pervading question these days...
I've found that I am doing a ridiculous amount of reacting, rather than acting...letting things drive me, rather than driving them...or it, my life...my oddity...like an internal diversity of many, within one.
Obviously, I've been doing a bit of struggling with myself and expectations, most of which are my own.
I'll be 42 this year...unemployed, seeking some form of even partially fulfilling employment, shared rearing of children, supporting my full-time college student/husband in this HUGE opportunity to fulfill his dreams and...waffling a bit in schedule/obligation, etc. Optimistic Realist. I'm right there with you.
