The sign on south street telling people to be in the right lane to get on I65 south is there to get them to turn right onto Main Street, and get on at the SR 38 exit (168).

Mind you, as a resident of Lafayette, when going south, i know to use that exit, and use the SR 25 exit (175) when going north. I avoid the SR 26 exit (172) like the plague, even with the construction completed.

And having the lights at the interchange of SR26 be ganked just makes them fit for that road. You can drive down SR26 at 2 in the morning, and get stopped 3 times at traffic lights that have no other cars at the intersection.

Yeah, it took a couple trips but I finally learned to avoid SR26. It's actually reasonable at 10pm now that the construction's done. You just have to go well over the posted speed.
