Yesterday I had a checkup appointment for the leg. It turned out the fracture on the shinbone still shows no sign of healing. That means I had two options - I could wait for two months to see if it would heal on it's own, or I could have another operation scheduled asap. Much sympathy about the lack of healing, but hopefully the op will do the trick.

Sorry to hear the healing hasn't gone well so far - I hope the op will sort things out anf you'll be back on your feet (and your horses's feet :-)) as soon as sensibly possible.

Not a medical person, but it sounds to me as if you made the right decision. Best wishes for the op and a comfortable recovery.
