Brownie Fail.

Brownies do not ward off evil.

My "oven" is evil. Forgot that it bakes hotter at the back of it. Should have turned the pan.

Test: Whether putting the pan back in after having a smushy square will work.

Really, the worst that could happen is that I burn them. At this point, I am not surprised.

It firmed up after another 20 minutes. They turned out perfect on top and less chewy-semi-cake-batter in the centre.

Thank goodness! I was going to break down.
