I finally picked up a copy of "Duties" at Kinokiyuna. Such a handsome little thing in itself! It is a good review and upon consideration, I think the quality he identifies as "charming but dangerous" is the same melancholy, at once pleasing and disturbing, I found throughout this collection. I have been dipping into it as kind of a emotional safety valve over these past weeks, with all their various goings-on. Although my favourite piece may well be "Dream Hunt", it is "Learning How To Be A Cat" that replays in my head as I watch our two hunt toy mice, reels of thread and dice. So, thank you and congratulations!
