Snow!

 I took Diego out for his last walk of the day a little while ago. The snow started falling just as we started down the back stairs. As we were on our walk the quiet that settles on the world when snow comes. We walked in silence, him sniffing and meandering, me watching the flakes fall and pondering how lucky both of us are to have found each

Interesting. I saw another fox in a different part of town today. He ran alongside my car for about 10 seconds then darted back in the trees.

Maybe my animal is changing from raven to fox.

Also interesting. And thought-provoking. I noticed several years ago that certain types of animals (ravens, stellar's jays, then magpies) would be hanging around wherever I was, independent of geography. California, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri...the raven, then stellar's jays, then magpies. Until about a month ago I was noticing ravens again. Now the fox.

I wonder who I will see when I'm in Colorado next week.

I should start thinking about what I might need to step away from, or be aware of things I might not have been seeing before.
