What have I been knitting?
I finished knitting Justin's sweater. I still have a million little ends to weave in and it needs to be washed and blocked, but let's look at some pictures anyway.
I love that garter stitch yoke and that rolled collar.
To avoid weaving in ends I have knit a sock and a mitten.
The sock was fun, but the yarn fell victim to a kitty while I was housesitting and I sort of want all cats to die (but not really). I was able to untangle the skein, but I keep finding cat hair everywhere. The mitten is too small for my hands and I fear that it's just the wrong size for all the children I know. If you know of a kidlet in need of mittens let me know.
What have I been planning?
I have a dress fitting tomorrow. I'm so excited and also terribly nervous. I know that my boobs are bigger than when I was measured and I'm hoping nothing else is. I invited Justin's mom, but unfortunately her father-in-law is in the hospital (everyone think nice thoughts about Don). I'm going to take some pictures and then drive out to Okarche to show my dad.
This week I was more productive (aka less lazy) than usual and got a lot of work done. I finally have a cake appointment. I'm thinking a three tiered white cake with fluffy buttercream frosting (no fondant, blech). I got the proofs back on the invitations and just need to figure out the wording for the RSVPs. Justin picked out his suit (chocolate brown, yesssssssss). And hopefully we can use Sowers and Julie's wedding photographer.
JSYK: I've gotten two more exciting text messages from strangers: "I completely forgot to celebrate myself yesterday!!!:)" and "I had to go commando all day."
