YAY!! That is great news! I've been thinking about you all weekend! =)
Get yourself walking around, fluff your nest a bit, and just hang in there. Don't try and push it and try and rest as much as you can... If you're anything like me you are ignoring all of this advice and spending every waking moment thinking, "WAS THAT A REAL CONTRACTION? IS IT STARTING YET? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? ARE WE THERE YET?!" =P
But really. Sleep. A lot. Feel your belly when you get the pains, and if it feels as hard as your forehead, then it counts as a contraction. I didn't feel hardly any of my contractions until the later stage of labor, but they were definitely happening.
Well, it's not so much a choice. Maternity leave is unpaid, don't even get disability (company is that small). So I'm taking all my PTO, which amounts to about 4 weeks, after baby comes, then I get to start working from home. Cause we can't live off one paycheck.
But if I take time before baby, then I don't have time after baby. And I think 4 weeks off is a horribly stingy amount of time and don't want to cut into that at all.
I'm glad they're letting me work from home. Really grateful that I'll be able to do that for a year. But don't get me started on the maternity leave.
