and breaks it apart.

Don't surrender your loneliness
So quickly, Let it cut more deep.
Let it ferment and season you.
As few human or divine ingredients can.

Something missing in my heart tonight
Has made my eyes so soft,
My voice so tender.
My need of God so absolutely clear.

Happy November.

Me too. It's from the new David Wilcox cd...words by Shams-ud-din Muhammad Hafiz and translated by Daniel Ladinsky, if that means anything to you.

Hafiz was a persian poet in the 1300's who was supposed to have done all kinds of cool stuff like memorize the Koran as a child. He's kind of a Persian Chaucer.

And yes, I know I am a dork for knowing these things.

I apologize for my vicious rhetoric. I thought you would appreciate a little meaningful conversation. I did not believe that we would ever agree or come to a resolution. I told you in the first conversation "Even if I could 'prove' that there was no God, I never would because it would destroy the world [hope, happiness, etc]."

I debate with you because you meet my challenges with confidence; thus, challing me. I have enjoyed our banter, however, I will no longer waste your time.
