Less than 5% of professional jobs are advertised. Getting something good is almost always contingent on knowing the right person (and/or kissing the right ass). Just be happy that the right person thought enough of you to get you the interview!

i feel confident that you could've gotten the same opportunities if you had known it was open or seen it. but, we hardly EVER post jobs on large sites or in the post. there's lots of recruitment and referrals... even people that are employees of member companies come over. it's an odd bird.

but, i'm glad that you're interviewing. have you set it up? let me know when!

and when you're here, i know this FABULOUS sushi place... it's comes out on a conveyor belt, and you pay per plate at the end of the meal. it's too cool, and the food is great!

I have to say that I do not approve of the mass exodus from Birmingham to D.C.

For the record, the mass exodus was suppose to take place: to Nashville... that way we can still hang out!

Make it so, I'll find someone to connect you to up here and you'll have your damned choice and everyone goes home happy...

squirm along with that... we'll miss you this weekend...

you're a touch experience!

I am bored out of my mind today and for some reason, have been thinking about school (oh yeah, now I know why, I was cleaning out my study and realized I never got a senior yearbook...did you?) Anyway, decided to check your lj and then thought how fun it would be to read your old ones from when we first met. You mentioned me a few times, my name was always followed by the adjective "girl" which cracked me up. You actually said I was pretty cool and made RA meetings more fun. That was so pleasant to hear. Sometimes compliments on days you are sitting around in your house with your cat without a shirt on in boxers too lazy to do anything, feels really nice, kinda like a hot bubble bath or a really long nap or like sitting around reading lj's ( ... )
