Because everyone is out of town or busy and I'm tired of talking to Chuck, I figured I'd use lj as my outlet for expressing how much I love McCain's and Obama's speeches at that Alfred E. Smith dinner. I don't know who Alfred Smith is, but I am so appreciative of the comic relief and breaking of the ice. The speeches were great, I think also

I missed McCain's speech, but saw Obama's and loved it. I agree with you. I'm so tired of the negative back and forth stuff. It was nice to see them laughing.
