I wondered what the point was if, it was supposed to be a scientific experiment, the control group (the restaurant fries and burger) were thrown out. Without that comparison, it was kind of meaningless to me. The results were, in any case.
I've seen McD's french fries in my car that my kids left in there after a few weeks, and no decomp happened at all. Also doesn't say much for how often I clean my car! But...that wasn't surprising at all.
Well, I don't think this was actually supposed to be a strictly controlled scientific experiment. More like a "I wonder what would happen if..." sort of thing. Frankly, considering the apparent smell, I'm surprised the burgers lasted as long as they did. As for how long it takes to decompose McD's french fries...we may never know! ;D
