You did not mention my current plebeian simple pleasure - "Tales of Beedle the Bard". But other than that, you sound like a happy person who knows what life is about. More power (and vegetables) to you!

I have killed the latest bonsai I got as a gift. This is the third. I am Bad Juju for bonsai! I really like how you get pleasure out of these plants. I keep seeing them as another plant whose life is going to be tragically cut short because of me.

This winter's going to be a long one for you (your first in the Midwest!), so enjoy all that writin' time and all the plants! And someday I'll find a plant that doesn't cringe when it gets near me.

It's not the prettiest site out there, but it's a great resource for beginning astronomers. It's run by my old boss, and you can also get (if I may say) one of the most useful books for finding constellations and learning random astronomy facts, "What's Out Tonight?"
