Hmm, I did finish up my Lantern Festival pics, and hopefully I'll post them sooner than later. XD; But this meme looked interesting so it comes first. ;D
Hunh. That list is actually very surprising to me-- like you said, a lot of that was required reading when I was in school, and a lot of the others are just classics and popular books that I'd assume would be read more often. (Not that I have read a whole lot of them, but... x_X )
You should get a Limhwa girl. XD Because their bodies are without comparison. <3<3
Otherwise, I completely understand how you feel. There's just too much lately... and it seems like no way to catch up with the new doll stuff that's going on. I just try to keep an eye on DOA's news and see if any of the new companies seem to get popular. x_x
Yeah, I can only wonder at how these stats were compiled and what the demographic was.. o_O But yeah, they're almost all either classics or modern best-sellers. I suppose there's that -- books of "literary value" probably get overshadowed by fluff all the time. ^^;
Bwaha, believe me, Limwhas were one of the first things I looked at. XD Mmmm booty. :d And their hands are so pretty! :o But I want to keep my options open.. and my god, there are too many options. T___T Hitting up DoA news is probably the best idea... perhaps I'll devote some time to that XD; And Y!J. :D
I love reading personally, have 4 new books to plow through as of this morning. And Wicked is awesome, I have no clue how many times I've read my poor dog-eared copy now.
A friend of mine has over 100 dolls now XD and on the sidebar of her blog there are links to the companies she's had good experiences with: http://leeloo-beejaydee.blogspot.com/ she lists some of the more esoteric companies too ^^
I've seen Wicked the musical, which I did enjoy, though I heard the (usual) mutterings there about this or that being different from the book. XD; I tend to prefer the book versions of things anyway, so yeah -- need to get on that. XD
(Meanwhile I'm mowing through my Mercedes Lackey/Valdemar collection at the moment...)
Wow :o Thanks! That was definitely a handy list XD
It's hugely different from the book, they even melded two characters into one, which was weird. I did see the musical though, and have the soundtrack too ^^ The musical was fun for me, but the book is fabulous.
Ah Mercedes Lackey, my grandfather used to tell me the plots of all those as he read them *nostalgia*

I'd love to see that.
I usually list out all the doll companies and check one by one. And see if any hits me in any way. Yes, I'm sad that way. XD;

Ahh, that's not sad -- but very thorough! D: Though it may come to that.. XD; I certainly have the time, over the long run ^^;
