so i got a letter in the mail informing me i have jury duty on may 6th. i thought you only got called for that if you were a registered voter? (which im not). so not looking forward to that.

I know the whole system is different here in the UK, but I actually had fun during jury duty!
I got to not go to work, got paid for going (well re-embursed for wages and travelling and food while there!)
And the courts here don't start work till 10am and usually finish at 3pm (though sometimes earlier!)
Honestly it was two weeks of nothingness (until I got picked for a trial that lasted two days, we found the guy innocent!)

I've never been called for jury duty, but yeah, maybe they changed the rule to anyone that's over 18? Who knows.

i dont know . my mom said she has never been called for it. but my dad did a few yrs ago.
