Very sad. I've been avoiding the tv and media outlets because it all gets blown so out of proportion and sensationalised which is exactly what a nut-job wants.

I was actually surprised at the composure of most of the media I read. Of course I could be self selecting. Murdoch is a self serving arsehole as per usual: https://mobile.twitter.com/rupertmurdoch/status/544587566297522176

But most of what I read didn't release hostage names or suspect names until after it was over, and there could have been way more speculations. The shock jocks were terrible again - evil fishwife gossipers as per usual. Screw them.
