I hate my car.  At first, it wasn't the car's fault.  I was very angry at the destruction of Sugar (my old 626) and aimed that right at the corolla.  I think it also had something to do with feeling forced to purchase a car - any car.  I started looking at cars and purchased the corolla within three days of beginning my search - not nearly the kind ( Read more... )

PMI sucks and it's a huge pain in the ass to get removed. A mortgage company will not alert you when they think you're eligible not to pay it anymore, so people who don't pay attention pay it long after they're required to. Also, if you secure your loan with government assistance (FHA, Fannie Mae, etc) by virtue of it being your first house purchase, you may have to keep PMI on the mortgage for the life of the loan--something we did not find out until we refinanced. The only way to get rid of it in that case is to refinance ( ... )
