Cherry Festival 10K

Today I ran the Cherry Festival 10K--6.2 miles over some pretty good hills. I came in at 52:47, which is an 8:31 pace, not bad for the first 10K I have run in 19 years, and more or less what I wanted to do. If I could keep that pace up through an entire marathon, I would qualify for the Boston Marathon, and that is a worthy goal to shoot for ( Read more... )

Congrats on the 10K! I wish there were more 10Ks here in the Philly region. There are tons of 5Ks, but I like the challenge of the longer distances. Keep on running!! And keep in contact with Lisa - keep her spirits up - she sounds like she needs a friend. -Sheen V

Thanks! I'm guessing you found me from Lisa's blog, since you know her. We're planning on running a half marathon together on the 26th. Yes, I will do my best to be her friend. It's hard, because we don't live close. She just cancelled plans for this weekend.
