Gross.

So, I'm looking around on Live Journal today, and find some pictures of a Playboy Bunny. In the comments section, someone posted a pre-surgery versus post-surgery picture and I can't help but ponder.

First of all, I was under the (apparently false) impression that Playboy models were at least truly pretty in the face, but had fake boobs, and ( Read more... )

I agree with pretty much everything you've said. I can't help but lose a little bit of respect for women who get breast implants and unnecessary plastic surgery; it's silly, and, to me, a sure sign of insecurity. And, so much of the time, I don't even think it looks good.

Cheesy as it sounds, I'm really glad that I have very few issues loving myself as I am. I'm a hell of a lot happier than most of the people I know who gravitate towards the 'fake' beauty...

Yeah, I struggle with self-confidence/security, but that stems from a lot of things, some of which I'm not aware of. Society's idea of beauty doesn't help me. I'm constantly comparing myself to other women and it's exhausting and emotionally draining. Still, I don't feel that altering my body in any way other than training myself to eat well and exercising would benefit me. I wish we, as a society, didn't need such immediate results, and quick fixes. Frankly, people just need to get off their asses and move around a bit to feel better about themselves. Plastic won't solve anyone's psychological issues ( ... )

It's almost impossible to share TMI with me, lol. I'm also very open.

My boyfriend dated a girl with fake boobs, and he said the same thing. They were hard, and not at all pleasant to squish.

my boyfriend is a male model and i go to shoots with him sometimes (not all the time because i hate to watch half naked girls hang off my man haha) and the girls you see in magazines that look PERFECT dont look like that in real life. yes, they are beautiful but its mostly nice lighting and photoshop that make them look like they do in pictures and sadly they let it go to their heads.

i had a girl give my boyfriend her number RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and say if he ever wants anything better than "that" and pointed to me..to give her a call.
ouch. to say the least.
beauty is way too valuable nowadays.

im with you on the natrual look. i hardly ever wear makeup and my guy seems to think thats just fine so i dont get what the big deal is with looking so fake

Wow. It would have been really hard for me to refrain from bitch-smacking that girl. Seriously, why would you disrespect a fellow woman like that, and feel the need to be so damn arrogant in the process? Women like that give the rest of us a terrible name! And to address you as, "..that" is just mean. What did your boyfriend say? Hopefully he laughed at her. Hysterically.

I hardly wear makeup either. Not to work, not to exercise, nothing really. Occasionally when we go out, I'll throw some eyeliner and mascara on, but aside from that, I really don't wear anything. And my skin feels healthy, not clogged and full of blemishes.
