When he awoke--when he awoke, he found that he lay in a bed, not on the floor as he was accustomed. Not in his house, but someone else's house, built of stone, with ceilings that soared overhead. A castle? Perhaps; but also perhaps houses had changed since he'd been gone from the world. Perhaps all houses were castles, now.

The cloak is *hiding* a lot, evidently, and has been used to hide a lot more. It's a very interesting story. I think I will post it all here. I don't think it will be a novel.
