Question for the seamstresses on my friendslist.

(I refuse to use the word sewist, so if you are male, my pardon.)

I have a really nice loden green wool winter coat. However, as it happens with most winter coats, it's too tight in the shoulders. In fact, it's so tight that it's hard for me to reach up and tuck a strand of hair behind my ear while wearing it.

that's what I am thinking too. I checked the collar; the body of the coat is already gathered a bit, so it shouldn't make much of a difference. I could maybe even manage a pleat at the top, too.

Off to find my thread, and I'm going to try it!

(The nice thing about this coat is I washed it and it didn't shrink!)
