I really enjoy this scene for two reasons:
1) It's obvious that Marcus wanted to see Katie's apartment, is mildly disconcerted that anyone can see her bed, and probably was mildly off put that Katie didn't ask HIM to help her move in (hence the crack about the Weasley's and 'manly' help)
2) The fact that Katie keeps firewhiskey.

Hee! glad you liked it. Yeah, I kind of enjoy it when Marcus can't figure out why Katie can't figure HIM OUT, because after all he's so open and honest with her. *rolls eyes*

Yeah, wonder who that firewhiskey's for...

centaur prOn, why Jo didnt think about it? (maybe for the same reason she ignored Marcus/Katie, what a shame...)

What Freud would think about the firewhiskey :p

Im sure Marcus would love to see Katie as Madame Pince =) But he would prefer to have her by his side on a quidditch team

before I forget to tell, I had a theory about it. well, its kind of crazy but Falmouth needs a new chaser. Marcus wants her to be a reserve for Holyhead, the Falcons are on the top and have only guys... so its kind of surrealistic tha she could jointhe team but I don't think Marcus would like to play rough against her...

But she isnt experienced enough and Marcus is the best chaser and so.... They are pros ans cons reasons but it was an idea =)

I loved this chapter. It was the last chapter I'd recently found on fanfiction.net, but I knew I'd read more through bell_flint maybe over a year ago. I'm not sure if it was you uploading those, but it's nice to see that it's still available now that Chasers and other websites have gone down.

I liked how the two are in a transitioning friendship point here, with Marcus helping Katie to train. I smiled to myself reading about how uncomfortable he was in her flat, probably with her scurrying over and around her bed, ha. The last bit with the book was great, it adds another layer to his character.

What was disturbing Marcus? The fact that she was sitting on her bed made him imagining what could happen next? Details about Quidditch are seconds after the most amazing thing in this fiction, the characters and their feelings. Im dying for the end and to have it before my 20th birthday (and the sequel for my 18th ^^ On the 9th sept I will be an adult, yippee!!)
