“Ah~it’s so cold!!” complained Hikaru as he walked through the snow with his lover. Keito nodded in agreement. Hikaru noticed the boy shivering and pulled him closer, wrapping his arm around Keito’s waist. Keito blushed but leaned in to Hikaru, a sweet small smile on his face. Hikaru grinned and pecked the younger boy on the cheek. Keito reddened even more.
“Hikaru, we’re in public…what if someone sees?” hissed the English boy.
Hikaru stopped abruptly and pushed Keito against a wall. He leaned in so his breath tickled Keito’s ear. Keito squirmed and moaned softly.
“So? Do you care? Anyway, there’s no one around.” asked the older boy, enjoying Keito’s reactions. When he got no reply he nipped the ear, provoking a whimper from the younger boy.
“I asked you a question.” he said in a dark voice that held a hint of anger. He lifted his head so he could see Keito’s face and saw tears threatening to fall, brimming in Keito’s confused eyes.
“I don’t know…” breathed the younger boy. The tears were falling now, streaming down his face. Hikaru looked shocked and then resentful. He kissed the boy’s tears away and caressed the shorter boy’s face.
“Sorry. It’s just…I hate it…” apologised Hikaru, “I hate us having to be secret…I want everybody to know that you’re mine.”
Keito looked up at the taller boy, who was pouting, and grasped Hikaru’s hand and held it against his heart.
“Yours.” whispered the younger boy. The older boy’s eyes shone and he gently kissed the shorter boy. Keito’s eyes fluttered closed and he buried his hands in Hikaru’s hair. The older boy’s right cradled Keito’s face whilst his left hand was at Keito’s hip. As the kiss deepened, the younger boy wrapped a leg around Hikaru, unintentionally increasing the sensation of pleasure. The air was filled with the sounds of Keito’s moans and mewls and Hikaru’s deeper moans.
When they pulled apart, Keito gazed into Hikaru’s chocolate orbs, which were glazed with desire and soft with love. Hikaru’s hair was mussed up and there was a blush dusting Keito’s cheeks. The younger boy’s lips were cherry red from the kissing and his gaze was intense.
Words were not necessary as Hikaru led the boy towards the general direction of his house, the cold forgotten.
They had almost arrived when they heard a voice calling their names. Both boys frowned and cursed under their breath.
“Do we pretend we didn’t hear?” muttered Hikaru under his breath. Keito looked at his lover and nodded. They both continued towards Hikaru’s house, running now, and didn’t stop, even though the voice kept calling their names. No way in hell were they gonna be interrupted.
Yuto frowned as he watched the retreating forms.
“Aw. That’s so annoying!! D’ya think they couldn’t hear me?” asked the tall boy turning towards his companion.
Inoo looked at the naïve boy and then back at the retreating forms. He noticed that the two boys were holding hands and smirked.
“Nope, I’m pretty sure they heard you.” replied Inoo. Yuto looked at him sceptically.
“That’s so mean! They ignored me!! I can’t believe Kei-chan would do that!!” exclaimed the younger boy.
Inoo felt a pang of irritation and something else. Jealousy.
He turned away from the younger boy.
“Hmph. I’m going home now. Bye.” He began to walk towards home, putting his hands in his pockets so Yuto wouldn’t see the clenched fists.
Yuto looked crestfallen. “Inoo-chan! Wait!!”
The older boy stopped walking but didn’t look at Yuto.
“What?” he asked in a grumpy voice.
“…Don’t go…please…” pleaded Yuto, catching up with the older boy and tugging on the sleeve of his coat.
Don’t fall for it Kei, he’s just using his cute voice to make you crumble. He always does that. Well, you know what? I’m sick of this. I’m sick of having to do everything he wants. I couldn’t care less about a snotty little fifteen year old like him. He’ll dump me anyway, as soon as he sees his precious ‘Kei-chan’. Hmph, who the hell does he think he is!?
Inoo ranted in his head, his fingernails now digging into his palms, almost drawing blood.
“Yeah, well I’ve got other things to do. Leave me alone!” responded Inoo, angrily, continuing to walk home. He sped up so the younger boy wouldn’t catch up with him and left Yuto standing in the middle of the street with a hurt expression.
Yuto felt injured as he watched Inoo walk away.
“Inoo-chan…” he whispered quietly. He brushed the tears that were gathering in his eyes and took out his phone. He needed to talk to someone. Fast.
He browsed through his contact list, pausing when he reached Yamada’s name. He pressed the call button and waited for his friend to pick up.
“Hello?”
“Yama-chan! How are you? Ne, do you wanna meet up?” asked Yuto, cheerfully.
“Erm…now’s not a really good time…” replied the other boy.
“Eh? Ah, of course! Yama-chan must be busy! Gomen, gomen. It’s OK, I’ll talk to you later ‘kay?” said Yuto in a forced voice.
Yamada noticed his friend’s depression.
“Actually, I think I can spare a few minutes…” he said, mouthing an apology to the person he was with.
Yuto perked up. “Really? Where do you wanna meet?”
“How about the park?” suggested the shorter boy.
“Okies! I’ll be there in five!” replied the taller boy.
“OK.” Yamada hung up and turned to his lover.
“Gomen, Dai-chan but Yuto is having a problem and needs to talk, so I asked him to meet up and he’s coming to here in five minutes…I hope you don’t mind…” apologised Yamada.
Daiki pouted. “Aw! Oh well, it’s OK. It just means Ryo-chan has to stay with me for longer.”
Yamada smiled. “Of course!”
Daiki cuddled the slightly shorter boy. “Is it OK if I’m here when he arrives?”
Yamada paused to think. “Nah, it’s OK. Yuto won’t mind.”
He kissed Daiki sweetly, making the older boy blush.
“Mine.” stated the younger boy. Daiki reddened but nodded. Ryo-chan was so possessive sometimes!
A gust of wind blew and he shivered slightly, a movement that didn’t go unnoticed by the younger boy.
Yamada took of his scarf and sat next to Daiki, on the bench, and wrapped the scarf around both of them.
“Better?” he asked his lover. Daiki nodded again, lacing his fingers with Yamada’s. They sat there for a few minutes, waiting for Yuto to arrive and let go of each other’s hand when they saw the tall boy.
“Yuto!” called Yamada. The taller boy looked toward their direction and waved, running towards them.
“Yo!” he greeted with his trademark smile on his face but both shorter boys noticed the smile didn’t reach his eyes. In fact his eyes looked distressed and sad.
“Eh! I didn’t know Dai-chan was gonna be here!” exclaimed Yuto. Both boys silently thanked God that Yuto could be such a ditz sometimes and so there was no chance of their relationship being discovered. Even though both boys fervently wished that the other members of HSJ could know about their relationship, they were still too scared to tell, afraid of rejection.
“I was with Yama-chan when you called and he asked me to stay.” replied Daiki.
Yuto looked at them curiously and he seemed to almost reach a conclusion but then he brushed away and theory he had.
“So, what did you wanna talk about?” asked Yamada, smiling encouragingly at Yuto. He patted the space next to him, indicating that the boy should sit there. Yuto sighed and sat next to him and explained everything to the two boys.
When he had finished Daiki smiled.
“It sounds like Inoo was jealous.” he concluded.
“Eh!? Why?” asked Yuto, looking confused.
Yamada smirked. “Isn’t it obvious? Inoo likes you. As in like-like. And the reason you feel so upset is because you like him back.”
Yuto stared at both boys in shock. Then realisation dawned on him.
“I get it.” he whispered.
Yamada smiled and pushed the taller boy. “What’re you doing here then!? Hurry up and find him!”
Yuto stood up and turned towards the two boys. He bowed.
“ARIGATO!!” he yelled before running off towards Inoo’s house.
Yamada and Daiki smiled. “Good luck!” they yelled at Yuto’s retreating figure.
Once the boy was no longer in sight Daiki sighed and rested his head on Yamada’s shoulder.
“I hope things work out.” he murmured.
Yamada laced their fingers together again. “I’m sure they will.”
Suddenly, Daiki lifted his head. “Hey, doesn’t what Yuto told us mean that Hikaru and Keito are going out?”
Yamada looked at his lover and smiled. “Oh yeah~”
Yuto ran towards Inoo’s house. When he reached the older boy’s house he rang the doorbell. Inoo’s mother answered it.
“Ah, Yuto-chan! How are you? You seem to get bigger and bigger everyday!” she said, smiling gently at the tall boy.
“I’m fine. Erm, is Inoo-chan home?” asked Yuto, still breathless from running.
“Hai, he’s just upstairs.” The kind lady gestured for Yuto to come in and led him to her son’s room.
“Kei! You have a guest!” she called, after knocking on the door.
“Who is it?” answered a muffled voice.
Inoo’s mother opened the door. “It doesn’t matter who it is-what matters is that you have a guest, you baka!”
Inoo looked up from his book to see his mother and Yuto standing behind her looking awkward. His eyes hardened and his lips pursed but he said nothing. His mother pushed Yuto inside and then left, telling both of them to have fun.
Once he was sure his mother was downstairs he glared at Yuto and asked, “What do you want?” in a cold voice.
The younger boy visibly cringed.
“I just wanted to say I’m sorry. And I wanted to speak to you…” explained Yuto in a small voice.
“Why? Is your beloved Kei-chan too busy?” asked the older boy, maliciously.
The words stung Yuto and he felt tears start to fall down his face. He was looking at the floor so the older boy didn’t see the damage he had made.
“What? Was I right? Or has the cat got your tongue?” questioned Inoo, scorn in his voice.
Yuto looked up at the boy, tears streaming down his face, looking hurt and wounded.
“I-I j-just wanted t-t-to s-say I was s-s-sorry! sob I d-d-don’t w-want Inoo-ch-chan t-t-to b-b-be m-ma-mad at m-me!” sobbed the younger boy.
Inoo’s heart sank as he saw the tears. He put his book down and got up and stood in front of Yuto. He hugged the crying boy, who buried his face in Inoo’s sweater and returned the hug weakly.
Inoo buried his face in Yuto’s hair.
“I’m sorry. God, Yuto, I am so so sorry.” apologised the older boy, his words sincere.
Yuto shook his head furiously.
“No…it’s, it’s my f-fault.” he insisted.
“No it’s no-“ began Inoo.
Yuto interrupted him.
“It is!! Because I didn’t make it clear!!”
Inoo looked at the boy quizzically.
“Huh? What d’ya mean?” he asked, looking confused.
Yuto took a deep breath. “I didn’t make my feelings clear.”
He stepped out of Inoo’s hold. He looked the older boy in the eye and confessed, “I’m in love with you Inoo-chan. I’ve always loved you. Inoo-chan is the only one I love.”
Inoo looked shocked. The words he had longed to hear for such a long time. Yuto loved him. YUTO loved HIM. Yuto LOVED him. YUTO LOVED HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The older boy sank to his knees. “I love you too. So much. You’re all I think about, day and night. Everything you do makes me smile and love you even more. Every time you smile, I smile. Every time you laugh, I laugh. Every time you cry, it hurts me so much. When we’re apart it hurts so much and when we’re together I feel so whole! I love you, Nakajima Yuto.”
Yuto blushed and knelt down so Inoo and him were face to face.
“I love you too, Kei-kei.” And then Inoo kissed him and he forgot about everything. All he could think of was how much he loved the older boy and how good it felt. He started to cry again but this time it was because of happiness.
When they pulled away, Inoo caressed his face. He gazed into Yuto’s eyes seriously.
“Mine.” he said.
Yuto smiled. “Yours.”
