Yes, I knew. :) It is FANTASTIC. I've been listening to it incessantly for a couple weeks now. I think it's a little more balanced than most of her albums - like, Impossible Dream (though fabulous) had that ONE really upbeat song, and then the rest were so ... not upbeat. Which is OK with me, I love depressing music. But it definitely leaned that way. Y'know?

of course you've been listening to it for weeks. always on the front line of patty news. how did you get it so early? or was february 6th just the iTunes release date?

yeah, i think balanced is a good way to describe it. i was listening to it for the very first time when i wrote that post. it's just freaking great. with impossible dream, i didn't really feel like it was depressing necessarily, it was just...low key, i guess. but yeah, it wasn't something i immediately fell in love with, the way i have with all her other albums.

No, Feb. 6 was the release date. I got a pre-release because of work. I do what I can to stay up-to-date on the Patty goodness.

Impossible Dream is probably in the upper half of her albums, for me, if I were to rank them. But I think 1,000 Kisses and Children Running Through would have to duke it out for first.
