Oh, the fire situation. My husband has family in the area, he doesn't talk to them so I just worry and watch CNN.

branka (i think you were in playgroup at the same time) and her family had to evacuate from their san diego home, but their place seems to have escaped damage.

jason's family is in redlands, right? that's some scary shit down there, but i think redlands is unscathed (if a little smoky). the LA times has really good coverage if you want more detail than CNN is probably giving you.

we miss you! i'm sorry i flaked on making plans for this summer. things got a little hectic.

I flaked out, too! I don't know where I would have found the money to do it this summer, anyway.

His mom is in Victorville, which is pretty spread out. She doesn't live right in the center of town or anything, and I know the fire hasn't hit Victorville head on but some of the outlying areas seem to be really close.
