My Mother passes....

Oct 06, 2006 01:44

So, as some of you have heard, my mother passed away Tuesday morning. She had chronic MS and tons of health problems. Wednesday night I was watching Saw2 with her and my dad, and she just kinda slipped out of consciousness and looked like she was having a seizure. We called an ambulance and she went to the hospital. I tried to e-mail you, but none of them would go through.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom; I don't know what to say beyond that. I keep trying to type something uplifting or heartwarming, but it all comes out trash. Suffice to say, I loved her, and I love you all, and I'm sorry that I can't be there for you now.

My mom gave you my computer's number, right? I may not answer on that (because I'm only online for a few hours each night, around 3 am your time) but you can call my cellphone any time. If you punch this entire number into your phone, it should direct connect to me;

Awesome, I'll phone you sometime this week. I got your email, I just checked it after I posted. When it's 3 am our time what time is it there?

You don't have to say anything. There's not a person I've talked to who hasn't said sorry, and I really don't know what to say to that. I appreciate the condolences, anyhow.

You have no idea how supportive your parents and our aunt and uncles are being. We have such a great family, Kir. I couldn't ask for anything better.

and also, not to freak you out or anything, but I subscribe to a whole bunch of daily astrology nerd things, and my tarot today was the death card.

Thanks for the condolences. There really isn't anything anyone can say. I don't even know what to say. But thanks for being a friend, cause that's what really counts more than any words at times like these.

Aw, Steph, that gave me goosebumps. *hugs* I'm still in shock, it feels so unreal, like she's just hiding somewhere or just gone for a few days. I'm getting through it, though. She's raised me to be strong.

I'm definately doing as well as one can in these situations. Despite the not wanting to go anywhere and yet not wanting to be alone, and random crying spells, I've been able to keep my mood up usually by thinking of the good times, the things I loved about my mom, and how I'm definately carrying a lot of those things on for her. My family (immediate and extended) has been really supportive, too, and that makes it easier.

Your icon made me laugh hysterically.

If you want to go out for coffee or something just give me a shout. I'm usually not up to much, aside from work and school.

I'm glad you enjoyed the icon. I love it.

I'd love to go for coffee later on in the week. Maybe Thursday or Friday. What time is good?
